The negligence of medical staff members and lack of appropriate care causes injuries to many patients. Back in 2009, the woman was at the hospital to have a mental health evaluation done. After the injury, she was required to have surgery and also physical therapy. She is requesting an undisclosed amount in compensation for emotional distress and physical injuries. She’s also seeking damages for the cost of medical care and loss of life expectancy.
Many serious injuries and long-term drawbacks are caused from hospital negligence. In this case, the woman apparently suffered from a broken hip, which has likely diminished her enjoyment of life. In court, both sides will be able to present their cases, and a determination will be made as to whether medical malpractice was properly documented.
